John W. Taggart writes fiction that treats real science as a foundation, not a backdrop. His debut novel, The Recurrence Protocol, opens with a metrologist who notices something impossible in the global atomic clock network — and follows the signal backward twelve thousand years to Göbekli Tepe.

The Resonance Universe spans three interconnected series and twelve novels. Three protagonists — a physicist, an investigative journalist, and an archaeoastronomer — each discover a different piece of the same planetary-scale mystery. They never meet. The reader holds all three threads.

Before writing novels, John spent years in technology and product development, where he developed an appreciation for systems that work precisely until they don't. That sensibility runs through every book in the universe: the infrastructure is real, the science is grounded, and the questions the characters ask are the questions the real science hasn't answered yet.

He lives with a persistent interest in the gap between what we can measure and what we can explain.
